Wolf! Brymo’s Exit From Chocolate City Is One False Alarm Says His Manager
With a savage force, it’s gripped the Nigerian Industry. Artistes leaving record labels, winning partnerships breaking down, and producers ditching their star clients. Some attribute it to growth, others to just natural selection. But it’s a way of life now, and the stories, I fear, won’t get any less.
Chocolate City, seems to have more than their fair share of these breakup trend, because just weeks ago, rapper Jesse Jagz, upped and left the label, citing personal reasons and a need for expansion as his motive. That dust is yet get a rest, yet another storm just got blown.
This time, it’s solid singing sensation, Brymo, (real name Olawale Ashimi ), who’s rumoured to have taken the walk from the musical powerhouse. The rumours have been around for a while, revealing strained relationships between Choc City’s management and the singer (even though nothing has been confirmed). But now it’s been given a dire twist and sources have come up with a story that Brymo finally has taken the walk.
But a call through to Samuel Lolo however has come up with a reply. ‘BrymO hasn’t left Choc City yet‘, he revealed.
Also by way of further confirmation, A rep for Chocolate City calls the news false saying it’s ‘hilarious’, and explaining that as far as the records show, Brymo still has a valid contract with Chocolate City and even has two albums to release for CC.
BrymO signed up with the label in 2010 and released his ‘#TheSonofaKapenta‘ album in November 2012.
